The Experience

Versailles is massive and can feel a bit like a marathon if you don't have a plan. I like to keep it focused. We’ll hit the big, famous rooms you’re expecting, but I’ll also point out the small details that most people walk right past.

Inside the Palace, we’ll move at your speed. I’ll tell you the stories of how the kings and queens actually lived—the weird court rules, the political drama, and how a hunting lodge became the center of the world. Then we’ll step outside. The gardens are huge, so I’ll give you an orientation to the layout so you can explore on your own afterward without getting lost.

If you have kids or if you’re a history buff, let me know. I can tilt the tour toward more stories or more architectural details.

Meeting Point: I’ll send you a clear map and a spot to meet me near the entrance.
Timing: Try to be 15 minutes early. The palace is strict about entry times.
Weather: The palace is fine in any weather; we'll shorten the garden talk if it's pouring.
Tickets: Palace and Gardens are both included.

The "essentials." The best of the palace and a good intro to the gardens. Perfect if you want to see it but still have the afternoon for something else.

Extended

More time for questions and a slower pace. Better if you're a real history enthusiast or want to see a few extra rooms.

FAQ

Do we skip the security line? We use a special entrance, which is usually much faster, but everyone still has to go through security.

Are tickets included? Yes. Both the Palace and the Gardens.

Is it okay for kids? Yes. They usually love the scale of it. I’ll keep the stories engaging.

Shoes: Not the day for heels. Wear your best walking shoes.
Bags: Keep them very small. Security here is tighter than most museums.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation: Up to 30 days before the tour provided no tickets have been booked.
Partial refund i(if tickets have been booked): 30+ days before the tour: You will be charged only for the ticket cost. 15–7 days before the tour: 50% of the tour price will be charged. 7 days–48 hours before the tour: 75% of the tour price will be charged.
No refunds. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour No Shows
Rescheduling: If your plans change, I will do my best to accommodate a new date/time, subject to availability. Please notify me as soon as possible. A small fee may apply to cover any ticket costs.
