A private walk through the staples, at our own pace. I'll handle the tickets, you just bring your curiosity.
Quick Overview
- Your group only (up to 6 people)
- Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours—depends on how much we linger
- Focus: Sully and Denon wings (where the icons live)
- Speed: We move at your rhythm, not a timer
- Tickets included in the price
- Languages: Ask if you need something other than English
- Who it’s for: First-timers who want the hits without the headache, couples, or friends
- Kids: I can turn this into a treasure hunt if you've got little ones in tow
The Experience
The mistake most people make at the Louvre is trying to see everything. You’ll just end up with "museum feet" and a headache. I prefer a focused approach. We stay in the Sully and Denon wings—that's where the big stories are—and we take our time.
I’ll help you navigate the maze so you're not staring at a map the whole time. Instead, we’ll look for the things you’d miss on your own: the weird composition choices, the political power plays hidden in the portraits, and the actual human drama behind the marble. If you need to sit down for ten minutes or want to spend longer staring at a specific painting, that’s fine. It’s your tour.
If you have trouble walking long distances, just let me know beforehand. I can tweak the route to use elevators and find the shortest paths between the highlights.
Route & Walking Info
We’ll be on our feet inside the museum. It’s not an Olympic hike, but there’s a fair amount of walking.
- Distance: Expect to cover 1.5 to 3 km. It fluctuates based on what we decide to see.
- Terrain: Mostly flat marble floors, but there are definitely stairs (and elevators when needed).
- Pace: Whatever you’re comfortable with. We take breaks when we need them.
- Accessibility: If you use a wheelchair or have mobility issues, please tell me. I’ll map out a route that works.
Good to Know
- Meeting Point: I’ll send you clear instructions and a map link once you book. It's easy to find.
- Timing: Try to get there 10–15 minutes early so we can clear security and get moving.
- Weather: Rain doesn't matter since we're inside.
- Shoes: Wear your most comfortable ones. Really.
- Bags: Keep them small. Large bags are a pain at security.
- Accessibility: Tell me in advance if you need to use elevators or avoid stairs.
- Strollers: Totally fine. We can also do the treasure hunt for the kids.
- Restrooms: I know where the good ones are.
- Late Arrivals: If you’re late, it cuts into our time, but I’ll still make sure we see the big stuff.
- Tickets: Already handled. I'll have the details in your confirmation.
